Panflute education – Volume 1 – Raluca Patuleanu and Stefan Negura

This method is intended for both panflute performers and teachers, for the lessons, who want to discover the easiest way to success. It will allow them to achieve their dream to become a ‘virtuoso’ and to have teaching material that was tested on hundreds of students. More precisely, this course is addressed to pan flute players who have studied the basic elements (breathing, embouchure, legato, vibrato, the different forms of articulation) and also know the so-called ‘second position’ (needed to play chromatic). It contains scores with respiration and articulation techniques specific to pan flute in G major, as well as audio recordings (alto & tenor) of all studies and pieces, performed by panflute and also with piano accompaniment. All the audio material is played by Stefan Negura and Raluca Patuleanu Negura. Stefan and Raluca are inspired by the teaching technique of panflute university professor Ion Negura. “Panflute Education” lessons is the result of Stefan and Raluca’s work, their goal being to carry forward the teaching style of professor Ion Negura. In his 40-year career, professor Negura trained dozens of panflute players – a.o. winners of panflute competitions – who are currently active in the world of classical music.We thank professor Ion Negura, all the panflute teachers in history and all well-known and lesser-known panflute performers for their contribution to the development of the pan flute.
