101 melodious and progressive studies for Sol major panflute

Dear panflute players friends, Several years ago, I had the idea of carrying out this project: To write 101 studies for panpipes. It was a long process of reflection and research. What more will I bring? Every panfluteflute teacher often having its own method… Nevertheless, this is not a ‘method’. That already exists. For each orchestral instrument, there are “studies” that are very specific to the needs of the instrument (violin, oboe, transverse flute, etc.). Very often, these studies are taken up and then adapted for the panpipes. So, along these lines, why not create studies directly for panpipes? This instrument is not a ‘sub-instrument’ and deserves a great deal of attention. I know that some people have set up studies. It’s a great approach! I wanted to get into it too. At first, I started writing for my own needs. Then I decided to share it with other people who wanted to benefit from it. And now it’s done! These studies are relatively progressive and fairly short. The first forty are virtually unaltered. Then I’ve marked the alterations in blue to give an immediate overview of the difficulties. Admittedly, some might say that this isn’t very ‘professional’, but it will make the work easier for most of us. I also wanted to write studies that were playful and largely melodic. But let’s be modest, I didn’t pretend to do anything, nor did I want to revolutionize anything. I simply wanted to share this work with those who are interested. I would like to thank all those who have supported me in this undertaking and have often given me invaluable help. The list would be too long to mention everyone, but everyone will recognize themselves… so I’m sure I won’t forget anyone! Special thanks to the “International Panflute Academy” for helping me distribute these 101 studies… I wish you a pleasant discovery of my work and wish you all well in your work.
